Pastor Lincoln’s testimony

1971, the year the greatest miracle of my life took place, under the ministry of Rev. Ovid and Helen Dillingham. I was saved, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, my life was radically changed. I went from strength to strength, from how great I am to how great thou art, from building my body to the body of Christ and from lifting weights to lifting Jesus up-if I BE LIFTED UP I SHALL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME. With great joy and peace I began walking my new life in Christ.

A TIME OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH

The next seven years proved to be a time of great excitement, growing in the Lord, which everyone must go through. Spiritual maturity, submission, obedience, discipline, praying, witnessing and leading people to Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost. The greatest joy was to go street preaching and sharing my testimony on the streets of Bangalore. People were saved, healed and demons cast out in Jesus name. With the encouragement of some dear saints in Christ (Bro. Peters & Rev. Satish), I was able to grow in the Lord, but there was still more to come.

THE CALL OF GOD IN MY LIFE

In 1978, the Lord called me into full time ministry. At two in the morning as I was praying and crying out to the Lord the room lit up with a great light and I head a voice saying to me “Resign your job and start the church”. Immediately I resigned my job from a leading news-paper press (The Deccan Hearld) in Karnataka State with a training from East Germany. I went from PRINTING TO PREACHING, praise His mighty Name.

THE SUARES FAMILY

Words are not enough to thank God for my lovely wife Yvonne and my three daughters Nicollette, Candeda and Kristin. They have stood by me with their prayers, love and encouragement. Without them I would not have been able to accomplish anything. They are a great blessing to the church and the entire ministry. I thank God for giving me two wonderful son’s in law, Lyndon Bird & Rejo Thomas. They are a blessing as well.

MY BROTHER IN LAW & SISTER

My sister Beverly and David have been a blessing to this ministry. It was at her persuasion to go for the meetings at the AG church. That was the time I went and was saved and my life was radically changed, from that moment on.

MY MUM AND DAD

I praise and thank God for my parents, my Dad was 6ft. 2 inches and comes from a family of athletes and boxers, his brother Arthur was the heavy weight champion of India, known as the Brown Bomber. My dad being a good boxer himself, taught us not only to fight but to pray.

I was not fortunate to have my Dad around for too long because he died at the age of forty, he was saved because my grand mother was attending on him in his last moments.

It was then a hard and long struggle for my dear mother who had to ride her bicycle 12 kms every day from Frazer town to MICO, to raise five young children. The Lord’s hand was upon her and He so marvelously brought us all into His kingdom.

THE MOST WONDERFUL UNCLE AND AUNT

Right from 1978 till now, they continue to be a blessing to our family, the church and to the other Pastors (the lady who did it all behind the scenes).

THE PRAYING GRAND MOTHER

The prayer warrior behind the scenes, who with her fervent prayers has brought many, many souls including me into the Kingdom of God. A firebrand for Jesus, she walked miles and miles to attend prayer meetings. When she prayed in the spirit she would burst forth in Holy laughter, it was part of her life.

The latter years of her life she spend praying and praying for her family and neighbours to come to Christ, a few years later her prayers bore much, much fruit, not only her family but her entire neighbourhood was saved, above all her favourite grandson was saved. Hallelujah!

Its thirty five years now since the Lord took her, I am waiting to meet her in heaven and share all that the Lord had done.
